How Do You Like Your Eggs In The Morning



Baked, fried, poached or in omelette form, there sure are so many ways how the humble egg can be elevated. I like my yolks runny and my whites almost burnt to a crisp. How do you like your toast in the morning, I like mine to be made of sourdough with a spread of lemon curd. Imagine the looks you’ll get at a restaurant saying those words hence the birth of Emily’s Brunch Club, to be held every Sunday from 12:00 hrs from the 2nd of May.



Organise a group of friends for a catch or just come along and make new friends over pots and pots of coffee, herbal tea, freshly squeezed juices, healthy smoothies in an environment that will feels like home, the big difference being you don’t have to clean up afterwards.

The menus have been inspired by such people as Yotam Ottolenghi, Nigel Slater to name a few but of course always with my own take. They will include (but not limited to)such dishes as:-

Sweet potato cakes served with a fried egg, Spinach, Chorizo and a dollop of Greek Yoghurt
This dish packs all the flavours imaginable and will play havoc to your senses but with resounding satisfaction. The natural sweetness of the sweet potatoes poached and shallow fried to a crisp brownness is complimented by the saltiness of the Chorizo and finally sealed with Greek Yoghurt infused with lemon and chilli.



Shakshuka
Red and Yellow peppers slow cooked with tomatoes, cumin, thyme and saffron resulting into the most intense of flavours. This is finally finished off in the oven with some eggs and can be served with bacon or Chorizo should you feel like it. There will also be plenty of freshly baked bread to soak up all the lovely juices.

Smoky Frittata
The king of hangover cures. Cauliflower florets baked with such cheeses as smoky Scamorza (mozzarella family), mature Cheddar with Dijon mustard, sweet smoked paprika, crème fraiche and eggs. Absolute heaven.

Bacon & Potato Rosti
Shredded potato mixed with bacon oven baked to a crispy crunch then finished with wilted Spinach and eggs (cooked to your liking) served with a homemade hollandaise sauce, brings a new meaning to eggs benedict!

Sweetcorn Frittata
One of my absolute favourites. Served with bacon, homemade guacamole and a homemade tomato and chilli jam, you really can’t go wrong.

Accompanying these dishes will be plenty of home baked breads, scones and muffins, you may even get to take some home.
